Treat Stomach Infections with Home Remedies
Stomach Infections: Stomach infections / gastroenteritis mostly caused in rainy season because of contaminated food & water . Bacteria, viruses, parasites are the main reason behind stomach infections (E coli was found to be main source of infection in many cases). It is also known as food poisoning. This leads to inflammation in stomach & intestines causing symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea.
1. Ginger Tea-
The home remedy advised since ancient times as a spice & medicine is widely preferred as a cure for treatment of many digestive problems because of its therapeutic and preventive effects.
Warm ginger tea soothes upset stomach & improves absorption of essential nutrients in digestion.
Another option is adding few chops of ginger with honey in a teaspoon & take several times a day.
Eating raw ginger slices is also an option.
Well known remedy for food poisoning is apple cider vinegar, though acidic in nature, has alkaline effect as metabolized in body. It does not prevent illness rather soothe & ease the symptoms to speed up your recovery. Vinegar kills the bacteria that causes sickness.
Mix apple cider vinegar in cup of warm water and consume immediately every 2 to 3 times daily.
3. Banana-
They are rich source of Fiber & Potassium as re-energizes you & ease symptoms of food poisoning.
Consume a banana daily to keep your body active & energetic cause of dehydration. You can blend some bananas with a cup of milk to make shake intake once cooled. For better results do 2-3 times per day.
4.Garlic-
Because of cardiac, anti-fungal & antiviral properties is in famous remedy to provide relief from abdominal pain, diarrhea or any digestive issues.
Swallow clove of garlic \followed by glass of warm water. Else boil garlic cloves water & consume it when cooled.
Chop up few garlic cloves & consume with honey is also a option.
5.Mint/Peppermint-
Ancient studies show that mint or peppermint has extremely soothing effect on person suffering from upset stomach due to food poisoning. It also has cooling effect, helpful to bring down fever.
Blend mint & consume with salt 2-3 times per day. Adding few drops in your tea also helps to ease stomach cramps.
